President begins three-day visit to Laamu Atoll

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun a three day visit to the inhabited islands of Laamu Atoll.

During the visit, President Muizzu will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss local development priorities and explore ways to further improve community welfare. He will also meet directly with residents to hear their concerns and suggestions.

The President will visit 11 islands, including; Isdhoo, Kalaidhoo, Dhan’bidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Gan, Maavah, Fonadhoo, Maamendhoo, Hithadhoo, and Kunahandhoo.

The trip is part of President Muizzu’s ongoing initiative to visit all Maldivian atolls, aimed at strengthening direct engagement with atoll, island, and city councils to accelerate development across the country.

The President is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key government institutions.
