Public Service Media (PSM) has said it is reviewing the actions of its lawyers following the dismissal of a case filed against Sri Lankan company Tantri Trailers Pvt Ltd (TT).

PSM had accused the company of failing to proceed with the New Media Wave Transmission Station Project after it was awarded to them. The media organization is now examining whether proper legal procedures were followed in pursuing the case.

As was stated in the Civil Court's sentence, when attempts had been made to deliver the documents to TT via the contact number and email that was included in the claim form, it had proven unsuccessful. The sentence also stated that due to the documents not being successfully delivered via email, PSM was told to share TT's current contact number in December 2023.

It is also unclear whether the accused company even exists when attempts to communicate with them were made.

As per PSM's statement, TT is a company registered to Sri Lanka. The company was tasked with establishing an antennae field in Thilafushi.

PSM said that TT had completed 95 percent of the project. PSM's lawsuit requested the court to order the company to abide by the agreement and complete the remainder of the project, and if the company cannot do so, have PSM acquire an estimate of the funds required to complete the project as one lump sum.

"PSM is looking into our lawyer's actions regarding the case," as was said in PSM's statement.

PSM also stated that they will be taking the required legal action regarding the Civil Court's sentence.
