President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu stated last night that next year's budget will allocate MVR 3 billion for projects and priority will be given to the education and health industries.

President Muizzu is currently visiting Shaviyani Atoll. While he was addressing Funadhoo residents, the President said that the previous administration had not done enough for the education and health sectors.

The President also announced that a major project is also ready to begin next year regarding education for special needs children.

President Muizzu also said that the project will ensure the children will receive education and special classrooms.

Regarding the work to promote the health industry, the decision has been made to establish a system that will have operations and tests available in Maldives, decreasing the need to go out of the country. This will offset the tests and operations that are not available locally.

"Next year's budget has reservations for housing projects, with never-before-seen importance being given to the education and health industry."

As per the President, work is being done to allocate next year's budget. He also said that budget allocations are being revealed to the public so that they would know how things progress in a clear manner.
