President Muizzu departs to Shaviyani Atoll

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun a four day visit to the inhabited islands of Shaviyani Atoll.

During the trip, the President will meet with island councils and women’s development committees (WDCs) to discuss local development priorities. He will also engage directly with island communities to hear about their concerns and ongoing challenges.

The President will visit 14 islands during the trip, including Kan’ditheemu, Noomaraa, Goidhoo, Feevah, Bileiyfahi, Foakaidhoo, Milandhoo, Narudhoo, Maroshi, Lhaimagu, Funadhoo, Komandoo, and Maalhendhoo.

The visit is part of President Muizzu’s nationwide initiative to travel across all Maldivian atolls, meeting atoll, island, and city councils in person.

He is accompanied by cabinet ministers and senior officials from key government institutions.

He last toured the islands of Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.
