Maldives Accountants Forum 2025 has commenced today with over 300 participants, including senior financial experts. 

This is the largest forum of the kind held in the country. 

The two day forum is organized by Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Maldives (CA). 

The forum is being held at the Central Auditorium of the Maldives National University. 

Speaking at the inauguration held today, CA President Mohamed Haleem Abdulla stated that the forum serves as a national platform for collaboration and dialog amongst those who work to develop and increase accountability of the financial and management sectors. Attendees of the forum will work together to further strengthen the Maldives' financial sector, he asserted. 

More than 30 experts will be speaking at the forum. 

Finance Minister Moosa Zameer attended as Chief Guest at today's inauguration of the forum. 

Also in attendance were Auditor General Hussain Niyazi, Tax Commissioner Hassan Zareer, Accountants General Mohamed Azadh, CMDA CEO Mohamed Hussain Manik and BML CEO Mohamed Shareef. 

The theme for this year's forum is 'Strengthening Financial Governance and Accountability'.
