Four youths arrested with drugs in Hulhumale'

Four youths were arrested in Hulhumale' on Tuesday during a drug operation carried out by the Drug Enforcement and Counter Narcotics Intelligence.

The suspects, aged 18 to 26, include three residents from Noonu Atoll’s Velidhoo, an island known for high drug activity.

Those arrested are:

Police said the arrests followed a tip off and a search of an apartment in Hulhumale' under a court order where 28.61 grams of suspected drugs were recovered.

Mohamed Halaf Ibrahim was one of the eight people arrested during the MDP protest in Male' last Friday. Unlike the others, who were remanded in custody for 15 days, he was released on conditions because he is a student.
