Two tonnes of waste cleared from Hulhumale' coastline

As per HDC, their Coastal Clean-up 2025 activity saw 2.1 tonnes of waste be cleared from Hulhumale's shoreline.

This activity was done in collaboration with Maldives Ocean Plastic Alliance (MOPA) and Parley Maldives.

HDC's statistics show 252.7 kilos of recyclable plastic has been removed from the shoreline. 115 kilos of other plastics, 63 kilos of metal/aluminium, 52 kilos of glass and 1.6 tonnes of other debris was also removed.

The activity saw the coastline of Hulhumale' Phase 1, Phase 2, and the area surrounding the bridge being cleaned up.
