Police have announced that action will be taken against individuals spreading hate and engaging in target harassment of officers, and their families, who intervened to prevent unlawful activities during last Friday's opposition MDP protest.
Police stated that certain participants in the MDP protest took to the streets and confronted Police officers, engaging in unlawful behaviour.
Personal information of officers, and their families, who had responded to the MDP protest are now being circulated on social media, Police said.
Police asserted that legal action will be pursued against persons who threaten, incite hatred towards, or endanger officers in their personal lives.
The strictest action will be taken against individuals who obstruct Police duties, they added.
