MP Gasim praises President's effort for national development

Maamigili MP Gasim Ibrahim praised President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's developmental efforts, stating the country has never seen another leader who has done as much for national development as President Muizzu is doing.

The President is currently on a visit to the Alif Dhaal (ADh.) Atoll and visited Fenfushi, which is in the Maamigili constituency represented by MP Gasim, this evening. Gasim himself hails from Maamigili in the same atoll.

Speaking at a meeting with the people of Fenfushi, Gasim remarked that since the new constitution came into force in 2008, no leader who had governed until President Muizzu took office had implemented so many development projects.

Noting that this was the first time he had spoken in front of President Muizzu since the government came to power, Gasim affirmed the President had implemented numerous development projects.

“As an elder, as someone who has done a lot for the development of the Maldives, as someone who is doing such work, since the constitutional change in 2008, until President [Muizzu] took over, I have not seen any government working with such sincere intention,” he said.

He added that the burden of achieving the development Maldives is seeing today could be told at length.

"I was and still am making a lot of sacrifices for the development of this country,” he concluded.
