Indian Immigration now mandates all foreign travelers to complete Digital Arrival Cards prior to their journey to India.

The change comes into effect from tomorrow, October 1.

Travelers can submit their arrival card within 72 hours ahead of their journey.

The card can be filled through visiting the official Indian Immigration website.

Previously, those traveling to India had to fill a physical arrival card once they fly in, which then had to be handed over to the airport's Immigration counters.

The office stated that digitizing the service will help travelers avoid long waits at the immigration counter queues.

This change applies to the large number of Maldivians and other foreigners who travel to India for medical treatment or holidays, as well as those visiting for work, education, or business.
