Police urge caution on bridge as lighting is currently out

Police have advised to exercise caution when travelling on the Sinamale' Bridge as lights on the bridge and connected roads are currently out. 

Police urged caution as the lights on the bridge, as well as the traffic lights at the Velana International Airport junction are currently out of service, and because intermittent rain is further decreasing visibility.

Police assured that relevant institutions are currently working on resolving the issue. Police officers are also on site to ensure smooth traffic flow, they said. 

Police appealed to the public to follow police instructions during travels on the bridge.
