President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajida Mohamed attended the reception held today to mark the 79th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the Mid-Autumn Festival.

The two nations' friendship, he said, is evident across the Maldives, in bridges, housing, classrooms and so on. He also highlighted the thousands of Chinese tourists who visit the Maldives each year.

The President reaffirmed Maldives' commitment to deepening its partnership with China across politics, trade, culture and education.
