The court has ruled that Ahmed Saeed Mohamed is guilty of abuse of official position during his time as Fenaka's Managing Director.

Along with Saeed, then-Procurement Head Mariyam Dheena was charged as well, regarding the agreement made between Fenaka Corporation and Blazon Inc. Pvt. Ltd in 2019. The charge stipulates that Blazon Inc had been handed money for project completion while the project hadn't ended and without ensuring whether the project had ended on their side.

As Saeed has been charged, the hearing to determine his sentence is being set up.

The offence carries a jail time of one year and six months.

While Saeed has been sentenced, cases of corruption have come to light through the Fenaka Audit Report. However, Saeed released a statement saying that he had not conducted any actions outside of policies.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is currently investigating accusations tied to Saeed.
