353 media outlets eligible to vote in Media Commission election

Elections Commission has opened applications for two broadcaster representatives and two media representatives, with submissions accepted until 2 pm on 4 October.

Maldives Media and Broadcasting Commission has published the list of broadcasters and media outlets eligible to vote in its upcoming election.

According to the gazetted list, 353 outlets will be able to cast ballots when the election is held on 11 October.

The commission said complaints regarding the registry can be submitted until 3 pm tomorrow. Forms are available on its website and office, and must be sent via email.

The seven-member commission includes three members appointed by parliament, with the remaining four elected by media representatives.
