Fire at Lily store causes extensive damage

A fire broke out at the Lily F&B Supply Bazaar 1 store late last night, causing extensive damage. 

Lily Enterprises imports a large range of goods to the Maldives for wholesale and retail. 

MNDF said that they received reports of the fire incident at 1am last night. 

It took firefighters over an hour to put out the fire, with the fire finally extinguished after 2:30am. 

One of the responding firefighters had to be rushed to Senahiya Hospital, but no other persons were reported to be injured in the incident. 

MNDF said that a large amount of goods stored in the premises had been burned beyond use, as well as the roof of the building having collapsed. 

It is not yet clear what caused the fire. The extent of damage caused is also not known as of yet.
