Opportunity to apply for the Family Court judge position

Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has opened applications for the position of Family Court Judge.

This is the second announcement for the vacancy, the first was made on the 17th of this month. The Family Court has clarified that applicants who applied during the initial announcement do not need to reapply.

The position offers a monthly salary of MVR 55,700, along with a risk allowance of MVR 3,300. Additionally, medical insurance will be provided in accordance with the regulations set by the Parliament.

According to the announcement, applicants must be at least 25 years old and hold a first degree in Islamic Sharia, Law, or a combined degree in Law and Islamic Sharia. A minimum of two years of experience as a judge or a lawyer is also required.

Applications must be submitted via the Commission's Fahires portal by 12:00 noon on 2nd October. Those who prefer to submit a hard copy may do so at the Commission's counter before the same deadline.
