Qasim admitted and being treated at IGMH

Business magnate and Villa Chairman Qasim Ibrahim has been admitted to IGMH and is currently being treated due to health decline.

A close individual of Maamigili MP Qasim, 74, said today that he had experienced "difficulties" while at Sun Island Resort yesterday and had come to Male' by speedboat. 

"He wasn't let onto a flight in fear of pressure changes (to Qasim) due to altitude. He arrived to Male' via speedboat and was brought to IGMH," said the individual.

Qasim was given treatment upon being admitted after immediately arriving at IGMH.

"He has stabilized and is in good health," said Qasim's close friend.

No details were given regarding his sudden sickness. 

Qasim has been treated for a cardiac condition in the past.
