Additional speed bumps are being installed across Hulhumale' in a bid to reduce accidents and improve road safety, the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has said.
HDC said that 88 locations have been identified for the installation of speed bumps, with work currently under way on Nirolhu Magu.
HDC said the move is part of wider efforts to address traffic congestion, improve pedestrian safety and regulate traffic flow.
Last year, the company also began installing roundabouts in selected areas based on data provided by police and HDC assessments.
According to HDC, the new speed bumps are expected to cut speeding and give both drivers and pedestrians greater confidence in road safety.
