President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has established the Digital Transformation Council.

The Council is tasked with overseeing the implementation of the government’s ambitious “Maldives 2.0 – Digital-First Nation” roadmap.

According to President's Office, the Council formed on the advice of the Cabinet will be chaired by President Muizzu and will guide, facilitate, and monitor efforts to make digital transformation central to governance and service delivery.

The Maldives 2.0 initiative, a flagship programme of the President, aims to ensure state institutions work in unison to deliver faster, safer, and more transparent public services.

The government said the reforms will bring “revolutionary changes” in how citizens interact with the state.
