President Dr Mohamed Muizzu met today with the Faafu atoll Dharanboodhoo Island Council, the Women’s Development Committee (WDC), and heads of local institutions to discuss the island’s development needs.
The meeting was held at the Dharanboodhoo Island Council Secretariat.
Council members highlighted urgent priorities, including the need for shore protection measures, a multipurpose hall, and additional classrooms to address overcrowding at the island’s school. They also requested the development of a football field and running track.
President Muizzu assured the Council that the Government would give due consideration to these concerns and pledged to work toward practical solutions. He also briefed attendees on the progress of ongoing projects on the island.
