Supreme Court has named several of its courtrooms after former Chief Justices in commemoration of the court’s 17th anniversary.
Established on September 18, 2008, under the Constitution, the apex court announced the move in a post on X yesterday.
The courtroom has been named after former Chief Justice Fadheelathu Sheikh Hussain Salahuddin. The deliberation room, where justices discuss verdicts, has been named after former Chief Justice Mohamed Jameel Didi.
Meanwhile, the judges’ meeting hall at Theemuge, the former Presidential Palace has been named after former Chief Justice Moosa Fathuhy, and the main hall has been named Abdulla Jalaluddin Dharubaar.
