President Muizzu departs on eight day tour of 31 islands

During the visit, the President will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees to discuss local development priorities and community needs. He is also expected to engage directly with residents to hear their concerns and check on their well being.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu departed this afternoon on an official eight day visit to Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu, and Thaa Atolls.

The trip will take him to all 31 inhabited islands across the four atolls.

During the visit, the President will meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees to discuss local development priorities and community needs. He is also expected to engage directly with residents to hear their concerns and check on their well being.

President Muizzu's trip includes visits to five inhabited islands in Vaavu Atoll including Fulidhoo, Thinadhoo, Felidhoo, Keyodhoo, and Rakeedhoo.

In Faafu Atoll, he will travel to Feeali, Bileiydhoo, Magoodhoo, Dharan’boodhoo, and Nilandhoo.

His Meemu Atoll tour will cover Dhiggaru, Maduvvari, Raiymandhoo, Veyvah, Mulah, Kolhufushi, Naalaafushi, and Muli.

In Thaa Atoll, President Muizzu will visit 13 islands, including Buruni, Vilufushi, Madifushi, Dhiyamigili, Guraidhoo, Kan’doodhoo, Vandhoo, Hirilandhoo, Gaadhiffushi, Thimarafushi, Veymandoo, Kin’bidhoo, and Omadhoo.

The visit is part of President Muizzu’s broader initiative to tour all atolls in the Maldives and hold direct discussions with councils at island, atoll, and city levels.

He is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key government institutions.
