Mujuthaz nominated as CSC President, Nasih as Deputy

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has submitted to parliament the nominations of newly appointed Civil Service Commission (CSC) member Mohamed Mujuthaz for Commission President, and current CSC President Mohamed Nasih for Deputy. 

The letter recommending these appointments was read out in today's parliament sitting, and has been forwarded to the Committee on Independent Institutions for review. 

Mujuthaz was appointed as a member of CSC last April. 

Mujuthaz holds a Bachelor of Law from Maldives College of Higher Education. He served as MP for Hanimaadhoo constituency in the 17th Peoples' Majlis. Following this, he was appointed as a State Minister at the President's Office during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen. 

Nasih currently serves as President of CSC. He was appointed to the commission in 2020. This is currently his second term at the commission.
