Fire incident in a Male' residence causes extensive damage

A fire has broken out in the kitchen of a home in Male', causing extensive damage. 

The incident occurred at an apartment on the second floor of H. Melbourne. 

MNDF said that the fire originated in a hood in the apartment's kitchen. 

They received reports of the fire at 11am, and had managed to put out the fire by 11:17am. 

No persons were injured in the incident. 

Photos from the scene show extensive damage to the kitchen cupboards and hood. The stove, and pots on it also appeared burned beyond use. Electrical appliances such as mixers in the kitchen were also damaged.
