One lane of bridge to close tomorrow

One side of the Sinamalé Bridge will be temporarily closed to public traffic tomorrow due to a full-scale emergency exercise at Velana International Airport.

The exercise, aimed at testing the airport’s Emergency Response Plan, will take place on Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

During this time, the northbound lane of the bridge will be closed, as it will be used for emergency response activities. The southbound lane will remain open to allow vehicle movement in both directions.

Authorities have advised the public to plan their travel accordingly and cooperate with officials during the exercise.
