The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has started accepting security deposits for 4,000 flats, marking the next step in the handover process.
FDC has informed applicants who have already signed their housing agreements that they can now pay their security deposits via the FDC online portal. These payments are required before the flats are officially handed over.
Flat agreements are being signed in the order that the units are completed. According to FDC’s latest update, around 3,000 people have already signed their agreements.

In April, the government reviewed the housing list announced by the previous administration. A new list of eligible beneficiaries was published, and after considering concerns about fairness, the government decided to allocate flats based on the list released in November 2023.
Once the agreement is signed, FDC will register residents for essential services such as water, electricity, gas, and cable TV.
According to the Ministry of Housing, the flats are expected to be ready for residents to move in by the end of this month.
