The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has ruled that the President may be formally welcomed by justices during his visits to the islands.
The Commission convened to discuss the appropriate role of judges and judicial staff in receiving the Head of State during official tours to rural areas and meetings with institutional leaders.
Following deliberations, the JSC concluded that it is acceptable for judges to greet the President. However, the justices are expected to adhere to established judicial protocols and standards of conduct during such engagements.
