Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Abdulla Khaleel has condemned Israel's deliberate acts of starvation against the people of Palestine and its plans to take full military control over Gaza.

The minister made these statements at the Extraordinary Meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

In his speech, Minister Khaleel highlighted the devastating impacts of famine in Gaza. He went on to denounce Israel's decision to seize full military control of Gaza and forcibly displace its population. He emphasized that these acts are a direct violation of international laws.

Khaleel expressed concern over the lack of sufficient response from the international community despite the continuation of war crimes by Israel.

The minister called for unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the people of Palestine and for the establishment of a permanent ceasefire.

Maldives' support for the Palestinian cause was once again reiterated.

Khaleel urged OIC members to strengthen collaborative efforts towards realization of statehood for Palestine.
