President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu announced today that the 30-bed health centre building in AA. Thoddu will be converted into a full-fledged hospital.

Speaking during a meeting with Thoddu residents this afternoon, the President said the existing health centre has already been upgraded to the highest classification, and although limited physical work has been done so far, the project has been fully funded.

He confirmed that the project is now ready to begin, and that it will move forward as a hospital construction.

“I can assure you that we will carry out this project as a 30-bed hospital, as experts from the Ministry of Health have confirmed the feasibility of including both an operating theatre and an ICU,” President Muiz said.

In addition, the President announced that practical work to establish a special faculty of agriculture in Thoddu will begin very soon. He noted that the new faculty will open up valuable opportunities for youth interested in pursuing careers in agriculture.
