Nasih applies for CSC position once again

Civil Service Commission (CSC) President Mohamed Nasih has applied once again as his seat is one of three that are close to term's end.

The term for all three positions will end on 3rd September. Six names were sent in by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu to Parliament as nominations.

The names are:

- Current CSC President Mohamed Nasih.

- Former Supreme Court Secretary General Dr. Hussain Faiz (Registration No. 1325).

- Dr. Dheeba Moosa (M. White Veil).

- Badhriyya Moosa (Registration No. 2414.

- Fathimath Moona (GA. Vilingili, Vaaidhaage).

- Aminath Ummukulsum (S. Maradhoo, Moonlight House).

These names have been sent in to Committee on Independent Institutions for discussion.

CSC President Nasih was initially appointed for his role in 2020.

Nasih re-ran for the commission after a standing committee of parliament sought to remove him, as well as members of the Election Commission (EC) and the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), which occurred last year. The commissions removed other members during this time after reviewing cases as sensitive issues.
