Police have begun removing vehicles left unused for extended periods on Male' streets, as they cause inconvenience to the public.
The operation, carried out in collaboration with Male' city council and the local government ministry, targets vehicles parked for days without use.
Police released photographs showing pickup trucks and motorcycles being towed, but did not disclose how many had been removed so far.
In February, more than 200 abandoned vehicles were towed from Male' and Hulhumale'.
Police have previously said they have the authority to remove any vehicle left parked for more than seven days, including motorcycles in designated parking zones.
