Thousands of protesters in Maldives demonstrated against the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
The demonstration was held at the Maafannu Stadium this afternoon, with thousands raising their voice against Israel's atrocities in Palestine.

The demonstration was organized by International Aid Campaign. Alongside members of the public, Foreign Minister Dr Abdulla Khaleel, other Cabinet Ministers, former Vice President Faisal Naseem and leaders from across the political spectrum joined in today's event.
The International Aid Campaign stated that today’s demonstration aims to urge global leaders to take action against Israel’s occupation of Palestine.

"A lot of aid obtained through donations from the public are in trucks, readied for entry at the Rafah border, and in Egypt and Jordan. However, due to the borders being closed, the people of Palestine remain deprived of lifesaving basic needs, and food, and continue to be martyred," an IAC representative said in an interview on State TV PSM.
Speaking at the gathering, Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Mohamed Shaheem Ali Saeed said that the demonstration is being held to call for the rights of Palestinians. He called for immediate end to Israel's occupation of Gaza.

"We are calling for the borders to be opened. We condemn Israel's atrocities against the people of Gaza. We condemn the collusion of major global leaders in the genocide through their continued assistance to Israel," the Minister stated.
