President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has concluded his tour of Baa atoll with a pledge to deliver services equally to all Maldivians, regardless of island size or population.

Speaking in Maalhos, the final stop on his visit, President Muizzu told residents that his government would prioritize projects left unfinished by previous administrations without favoring larger communities.

“Every citizen is equal to me, no matter how small the population,” he said.

“My main philosophy is to fulfil things equally for every citizen.”

During the visit, which began on 11 August, President Muizzu inaugurated completed projects and launched new ones across 13 islands. In Maalhos, he laid the foundation stone for a new police post and noted that work to expand the health centre had been handed over last week.

He also opened Bank of Maldives ATMs across Baa atoll, saying the move would spare residents the cost of travelling to other islands to withdraw cash.

ATM services are now available on every inhabited island in the atoll.
