Land reclamation in B. Hithaadhoo has been contracted to MTCC.

The agreement was singed today by Construction Minister Dr Abdulla Muththalib and MTCC CEO Ahmed Saudi.

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, alongside cabinet ministers and SOE heads, visited Hithaadhoo today, as part of his ongoing official visit to Baa Atoll.

The agreement signing took place during the meeting with Hithaadhoo residents held this morning.

Speaking at the meeting, Hithaadhoo Council President Abdul Azeez Mohamed appealed to the government to expedite land reclamation and to provide housing at the earliest.

The government also assigned Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation to build a multipurpose hall at Hithaadhoo School. This agreement was signed by Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu and FDC Managing Director Hamdhan Shakeel.
