President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced last night that arrangements will be made for revenue generated from Innafushi to be given to the B. Fulhadhoo Council.

Innafushi is an uninhabited island in the same lagoon as Fulhadhoo, declared a protected area.

The President stated this while speaking to residents of Fulhadhoo, having visited the island last night during his ongoing trip to Baa Atoll.

In his speech, he noted that the island of Fulhadhoo is in need of many development projects. He highlighted that local tourism is strong in Fulhadhoo, but there are challenges in accommodating visitors.

The President said that the council, as well as residents of Fulhadhoo have requested for revenue from Innafushi to be granted to them. He assured that he will begin work on arranging this upon return to the capital after concluding his visit.
