Eydhafushi Immigration Office opens with passport services

A branch office of Immigration was inaugurated today in B. Eydhafushi, introducing passport services to the island.

The office was inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu during his ongoing visit to Baa Atoll.

Immigration said that in addition to passport applications and issuance, the office will also issue National ID cards.

To inaugurate the service, the office issued its first passport today. The passport was presented by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusan.

Immigration Controller Ahmed Faseeh also participated in the ceremony.

The Immigration Office in Eydhafushi is the first such service introduced in the atoll under the policy to decentralize services.
