The foundation stone for the Maldives Police Service’s new data centre in Hulhumale' Phase 2 has been laid, in partnership with the UAE Cyber Security Council.
The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by UAE cyber security head Dr Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Homeland Minister Ali Ihusan and police commissioner Ismail Naveen, who jointly laid the stone.
Senior officials from the UAE Cyber Security Council, as well as police executive and commissioned officers, were also present.

Police said the facility, equipped with the latest technology, will strengthen the force’s ability to adapt to emerging challenges and improve crime prevention and law enforcement.
The event also marked the inauguration of the Police Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC), developed with UAE assistance.
Police described the CSOC as the nation’s “shield and watchtower” in cyberspace, designed to detect and prevent digital threats and curb cybercrime.
