The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) has honored 15 companies with a special award for being the highest taxpayers over the past 15 years. The award, titled "Ran-Fanara", was presented by Finance Minister Moosa Zameer during a ceremony held yesterday to commemorate MIRA’s annual day.
The 15 companies with the highest taxes are as follows:
- Bank of Maldives
- Dhiraagu
- I&T management
- Ithafushi Investment
- Casa Holdings
- Kuredu Holdings
- Maldives Airports Company (MACL)
- Ooredoo Maldives
- Qatar Airways
- Reethi Rah Resort
- State Bank of India
- STO
- TMA
- Universal Enterprises
- Villa Shipping and Trading

The 15 companies were recognized for being the top taxpayers from 2011 to June 30 of last year. However, MIRA did not disclose the specific amounts of tax paid by each company.
