The provisional list of recipients of the 100 housing units built by the government in B. Thulhaadhoo has been released today.
In an announcement issued today, the Thulhaadhoo Council said that the provisional list stating points awarded to recipients of the 100 housing units - made of up 92 Thulhaadhoo residents and 8 recipients who are moving to Thulhaadhoo - has now been published.
The announcement said that any complaints or concerns regarding the list can be submitted from today until 2pm on Monday to the council through letters or emails.
As per the publicized list, over 600 residents applied for the 92 housing units reserved for residents of the island. About 100 applications were received for the 8 units reserved for residents of other islands intending to move to Thulhaadhoo.
The development of the 100 housing units was contracted to Precision Engineering Services on a design and build agreement on July 10, 2019. The project was estimated to cost MVR 79.6 million.
The housing units are 1,100sqft in size. Each unit has three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a sitting room, kitchen, storeroom and a laundry area.
