RDC's former Deputy Managing Director Asbah appointed to HDC

Former Deputy Managing Director of Road Development Corporation (RDC) Mohamed Asbah Ali Naseer has been appointed as Deputy Managing Director of Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

HDC shared a post on social media today welcoming Asbah to their team. Asbah, appointed as DMD at RDC in December 2023, resigned yesterday.

This transfer closely follows the appointment of former RDC Managing Director Ali Zuhair as HDC Managing Director.

Zuhair earlier served in MNDF. He was at Brigadier General rank when he retired from the service.

The post of HDC MD became vacant following the resignation of Mauroof Jameel last Wednesday. Mauroof resigned abruptly after having earlier announced intentions to retire in August. It has been reported that Mauroof resigned on the instruction of the Privatization and Corporatization Board.

Former State Minister at Construction Ministry Ibrahim Nazeem replaced Zuhair as MD of RDC.
