President Muizzu departs for unofficial visit to Singapore

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu departed for Singapore on an unofficial visit last night.

President’s Office have not disclosed further details as the trip is a personal visit.

Earlier this month, President Muizzu paid an official state visit to Singapore from 29 June to 2 July at the invitation of Singaporean President Tharman Shanmugaratnam.

Following that visit, President Muizzu stated that bilateral relations between the Maldives and Singapore had reached a new level.
