President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have today inaugurated the new Ministry of Defence premises - Dhoshimeyna Building.
Dhoshimeyna Building is located adjacent to the President's Office, where previously the Coast Guard building stood.
It was inaugurated in a ceremony held today during Prime Minister Modi's ongoing two day State visit to the Maldives.
Minister of Defence Mohamed Ghassan Maumoon, Chief of Defence Force Major General Ibrahim Hilmy and other cabinet ministers were also present at the ceremony.
The building was developed through a grant from the government of India. The building will be used by the Defence Ministry, as well as MNDF's Coast Guard.
