2 million paving stones sought for Male' roadworks

Male' City Council has announced today that they are seeking 2.2 million paving stones for the purposes of repairing the streets of capital Male' City.

The Council has opened bidding for suppliers who can supply the 2,202,500 paving stones required.

- Zigzag paving stones: 1,000,000

- Pavement paving stones: 1,000,000

- Gutter cover: 200,000

- Curbstone chamber (large): 500

- Curbstone chamber (small): 500

- Curbstone round (large): 1000

- Curbstone round (small): 500

The announcement said that the supplier must deliver the paving stones to a location specified by the council. It further stated that there should be no damage to the goods when delivered, and that the paving stones must be of good quality.

In the instance that the paving stones are not of good quality, it will be rejected, the announcement said.

Bids are to be submitted at 9am on August 4.
