Police have said today that they are reviewing extensive hours of CCTV footage in their search for Hassan Yameen.

Police have said today that they are reviewing extensive hours of CCTV footage in their search for Hassan Yameen.

Yameen, 30, G. Garnet, was last spotted leaving his home on Friday night. He has not been heard from or seen since them.

In a statement released today, Police said that Yameen's family has not heard from him since he left the house at 9:30pm last Friday. The family had reported him missing on Monday.

Police said that the investigation has commenced, with all necessary steps being followed. All relevant institutions have been informed of the case, with the designated missing persons form filled, they said.

Police are currently working on reviewing hours of CCTV footage, they said. Police had also coordinated with Yameen's family and conducted a search of the apartment he resides in.

According to police, there are no indications of foul play or criminal activity at Yameen’s residence, and no alterations to its general condition have been observed.

Police also said that relevant authorities have now confirmed that Yameen has not travelled abroad.

Police assured that every effort is being made to locate Yameen, with a dedicated team working on the case.
