AbduRahman's body to be flown to India for post mortem on Monday

Police have said today that the body of AbduRahman will be taken to India on Monday to conduct a post mortem.

AbduRahman was found with severe head injuries in his bedroom at his AA. Maalhos residence in the early hours of last Sunday. Although he was rushed to the island's health centre, he could not be saved and died from his injuries just hours later.

Police said today that AbduRahman's body will be sent to Trivandrum, India on Monday, where a post mortem will be conducted. His body was brought to Male' for forensic investigations on Sunday.

Although there is wide speculation surrounding the death in Maalhos, Police are yet to confirm if they have uncovered any related evidence. Police went to Maalhos within hours of receiving the reports of AbduRahman's assault and death. They closed off Maahiya, AbduRahman's residence, which remains closed off even to date.

Police also collected fingerprints and footprints of all persons who had entered the residence after the assault on AbduRahman. They are continuing the investigation on the island, and have questioned many individuals on the events of the night.
