Man found with severe injuries dies in Maalhos

An elderly man was assaulted while he was sleeping in AA. Maalhos. He was rushed to the island's health centre, but passed away while receiving treatment for his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as AbduRahman Adam, 65, of Orchidmaage, AA. Maalhos.

Police said that they received reports of the man being treated at the health centre around 2am last night. AbduRahman passed away around dawn today.

A Police media official said that a team of investigators are travelling to AA. Maalhos to investigate the incident.
