Speedboat steers out of control, injures four in Thinadhoo

In GDh. Thinadhoo today, a speedboat steered out of control and crashed into a jetty, with four persons sustaining injuries in the incident.

Police said that that they received reports of the incident at 1:50pm today. At the time of the incident, the speedboat's captain, a crew member, and passengers including three women and a one year old child were on board.

The captain, 50, crew member, 29 and two passengers, females aged 25 and 28, sustained injuries in the incident, Police said. All four were Maldivian.

The four are currently being treated for injuries at the Abdul Samad Memorial Hospital in GDh. Thinadhoo.

Police stated that they are conducting an investigation into this incident.
