Dangerous accidents in Fuvahmulah, Addu

Dangerous accidents occurred in both Fuvahmulah and Hithadhoo in Addu City yesterday.

Videos circulating on social media indicate that the accident in Fuvahmulah occurred around 6:16 pm yesterday.

A man was standing near motorcycles parked on the side of a road, when an approaching car lost control and crashed into him.

Although the car was not speeding, the parked four motorcycles collapsed on impact. The man was standing between two of the motorcycles. The collision flung him onto the car’s bonnet before he rolled to the ground beyond it. The car slows down at this point, and the man attempts to get up and walk away.

Details of any injuries sustained in this accident have not been disclosed.

In Hithadhoo, Addu, an accident occurred at around 7:30 pm last night.

An elderly man was crossing the road on a zebra crossing, when a speeding motorcycle crashed into him. This caused both the pedestrian and the motorist to fall.

Police confirmed that neither had sustained serious injuries in the accident.
