The Ministry of Housing has opened appointments to issue new registrations for Gulhifalhu plots after previously issued ones were canceled due to changes in the land use plan.

The revised plan, introduced by the current administration, reallocates land from the newly reclaimed area of Gulhifalhu instead of the originally designated Giraavaru lagoon. As a result, a new lottery was held to assign plots, and previous registrations were voided.
According to the Ministry’s announcement today, recipients must now schedule appointments via the “Hiyaavehi Portal” to obtain their new “Bandhara Plot Registrations” and “Bandhara Plot Agreements.” A limited number of appointments will be available each day, and the issuing of documents will begin at 9:30 AM on Monday.
To request an appointment, applicants must submit the following:
• Copy of the witness’s ID card • If sending a representative: notarized Power of Attorney and a copy of the representative’s ID card • Copies of the previously signed agreement and registration
The Ministry warned that appointments would be canceled if applicants are more than five minutes late or if the submitted documents are incomplete.
