Mohamed Abdul Kareem (Rukuma), has resigned from his post as Deputy Managing Director of Fenaka Corporation.
Speaking to Mihaaru News, Abdul Kareem said that he stepped down from the island utility service provider on June 22 but did not disclose a reason for his resignation.
Under the current administration, Abdul Kareem was first appointed as Deputy Managing Director of Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) before taking up the same role at Fenaka in August last year.
Despite his resignation, another individual currently holds the post of Deputy Managing Director at Fenaka.
The company issued a statement thanking Abdul Kareem for his service. Deputy managing directors of state-owned enterprises are appointed by their respective boards.
